Light a Light of Love to benefit Huntington Beach Youth Shelter

November 30, 2010

Huntington Beach Youth Shelter is hosting its 14th annual Light a Light of Love at the Huntington Beach Pier on Sunday. The charity wants to bring in $100,000 from the event, which is the largest fundraiser it throws each year.

Here is the schedule for this Sunday, Dec 5 –

12:30 pm:  Paws for Change at the Strand.  Dogs will strut in their best holiday costumes to benefit the shelter.  Entry fee is $20

5 pm:  Children’s Parade.  The parade will feature more than 1,000 youth in the city including Girl and Boy Scouts and local high school groups such as the marching band and cheerleaders.

6 pm:  Pier Lighting:  Snowflakes lining the pier will be lit.  The shelter still has snowflakes sponsorships available and will also be handing out hand-held snowflakes for a small donation.
